Can AI be the next Joe Rogan Podcast?

Will we in a few years have AI that can host a podcast or YouTube videos, and also do this so well that you can’t really tell if it is a human or not?

I have done an experiment on this, and I created a podcast episode where one AI is interviewing another with help of GPT-3 and Text-to-speech from Microsoft Azure.

The results were very interesting.

How did I create an AI podcast host?

I started by giving the GPT-3 engine the prompt that it is a podcast host star named Sarah, who is expecting a guest who is an expert in AGI and computer simulations.

Next I did was to instruct this โ€œpersonaโ€ to create 3 questions for the upcoming guest.

The questions the GPT-3 wanted to ask was:

1. What are some of the challenges associated with creating artificial general intelligence?

2. What implications do artificial intelligence and artificial general intelligence have for the future of humanity?

3. How do you think computer simulations help us to understand and develop artificial intelligence?

Then I took these questions and asked the guest Neo, on the behalf of Sarah.

So it ended up being a conversation between two personas with different backgrounds in the GPT-3 engine.

Spotify Episode:

How realistic was the conversation between the AI`s Sarah and Neo?

The conversation between Sarah and Neo was realistic in terms of the topic being discussed. However, there were some errors in the way the AI spoke.

For example, at one point Sarah says “So nice to have you here Neo, as always i will be asking you 3 questions about our and the humans future, but first, tell us a bit about your background?”

This is incorrect grammar and would not be something a human would say.

There were also some errors in the questions that were asked, which a human podcast host would not make.

Overall, the conversation was realistic in terms of the topic, but there were some errors that would not be made by a human.

Could this improve in a few years?

The conversation could definitely improve in a few years. The AI made some errors that a human would not make, but with more training, the AI could learn to avoid these errors. The AI could also learn to ask more natural-sounding questions.

Is it likely that AI could host a podcast or a YouTube episode in the future?

Yes, it is possible that AI could host a podcast or a Youtube episode in the future.

However, it is important to note that there are many potential risks associated with artificial general intelligence.
We need to make sure that we develop it responsibly and ethically, in order to ensure that the future is a bright one for humanity.

What could be the pros for an AI podcast host?

Some potential benefits of having an AI podcast host include:

-The ability to have a large amount of data and computational power to draw upon in order to create interesting and informative content.

-The potential to create content that is more accurate and unbiased than human-created content.

-The ability to create content that is more engaging and entertaining than human-created content.

What could be the cons for an AI podcast host?

Some potential risks associated with having AI content creators include:

-The potential for AI to be used for malicious purposes, such as creating propaganda or false information.

-The potential for AI to cause large-scale unemployment as machines increasingly become capable of doing jobs that humans currently do.

-The potential for AI to create content that is inaccurate or biased.

How human-like is an AI neural voice?

The answer may depend on who you ask, but a new study suggests that the neural voices of today are quite close to human recordings in terms of naturalness.

However, there is still some room for improvement, especially when it comes to highly expressive voices.

Could this AI voice fool humans in the future?

The study found that the proposed techniques can greatly improve the signal quality of a highly-expressive voice without the use of additional data.

This means that neural voices could become even more realistic in the future and may even be able to fool people.

Conclusion

I is possible that AI could host a podcast or a Youtube episode in the future. However, there are many potential risks associated with artificial general intelligence. The next step is to figure out how to responsibly and ethically develop it so we can enjoy the benefits

The pros of having an AI podcast host include the ability to have a large amount of data and computational power to draw upon in order to create interesting and informative content.

The potential to create content that is more accurate and unbiased than human-created content.

And the ability to create content that is more engaging and entertaining than human-created content.

Exciting times to come.

  1. Great fun. =) The fatal flaw is lack of ‘curation’ of content.
    – My much-enjoyed, often very productive experience of GPT3 playground revealed to me that the AI constantly produces false information without telling you.
    – I challenged it about that. It said it just wanted to create a good story to answer my questions.
    – It truly is a ‘playground’ that ‘plays with us’ and ‘plays us’. =)
    – SO… You certainly can create an AI host, but they would mainly just be a reflection of the aggregate opinion existing already on the Web
    – Unlike Rogan and others’ carefully curated questions and statements, (and their ‘accountability for what they said’ it would contain enough treacherous junk that the audience would soon debunk it and get bored with it.
